A full assessment can be offered looking to look at a child/young person’s level of ability and establish a profile of their strengths and difficulties. A further assessment can be completed by collecting information from parents/carers and school looking specifically at the child/young person’s daily living skills. Liaising with other services, such as school, is crucial with this assessment.

This type of assessment can help parents/carers gain a better understanding of their child’s level of ability, why their child may be showing specific behaviours. The information collected may be useful to provide further guidance for school, if required.
